PEDESTRIAN SPEECH ACT # 5 – “ZULCH IS THE AUTOWORKS …

(… I’m telling you
That’s where they take
All the cars that are hurt.”  Frank Zappa – San Bernadino, slightly altered lyrics)”

… took place yesterday in the western vincinity of Hamburg.  My walk lasted for one hour and ten minutes, and the distance covered were about 6 kilometers. With my digital camera that I’ve got with me on all such occasions I took 20 fine shots of my way from Buxtehude where my auto repair shop’s situated (it’s name is Auto-Wilhelm  and I had to leave my vehicle there for clutch renewal) to the next small farmer village where a former working mate picked me up with his orange colored public service truck.

01
What a beautiful morning! Three minutes away from my “auto works”.
02
I feel as if the world was mine.
03
Better not waste much thinking on the repair cost!
04
Concentrate on the neighborhood, man. Doesn’t this remind you of art show DOCUMENTA XII in Kassel 2007?
05
A short meditation won’t hurt, will it?
06
Doing some DZAMBALA mantras is definitely no waste of time in this situation.
07
That’s the right direction for sure.
08
Some refreshing roadside DECOLLAGE work.
09
Leaving the town and heading for the village. Road has no shoulder as you can see and no sidewalk either. I walk on the left side and enter the grass whenever a car approaches me.
10
Feets don’t fail me now!”
11
Sorry – not land art but construction work of new Autobahn A 26.
12
On the opposite side: freshly mown grass.
13
Lots of deposited sand in sight over there.
14
This will once be an on-ramp.
15
Destroyed idyll.
16
Where am I? Is this Sahara?
17
Perhaps part of the future exit?
18
Villager’s activities.
19
Idyllic cattle view.
20
Orchards everywhere.

  1. Yesterday afternoon I picked up my car again and walked the whole way of 15 kms from my place to “Wilhelm Autoworks” in 115 minutes! The repair cost me 785,70 €. That’s modern life, you guys.
