ERNI’S 70TH BIRTHDAY MAIL PART ELEVEN – MY 70 DOCUMENTA CHICKS

You may, of course, well think that using the term chick (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=chick) in this context is kind of politically incorrect, but I can’t possibly comment. Today another 70th birthday mail art package from Greece arrived. It’s actually a documenta 14 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Documenta_14) poster that has been very nicely worked over with added paper clips on one side. These folded garlands show numerous pretty young chicks, seventy in total. What a great way to extend the idea of Greek documenta in combination with a certain person’s 70th birthday!

There you are – the package!

Front side.
54
Today is August 3rd already!
55
Minnie, Mickey, Donald (the real one!), and Pluto among the guests.
56
I’ve neither ever been to Kassel nor to Athens.
57
Fold her out!
58
Count them left to right or opposite – they sum up to 70 chicks, and they’re all mine!
59
Will documenta 15 eventually have a mail art section? You never can tell!

  1. Yay! It arrived, even two days late…but you are allowed to celebrate your 70th all week long!
The true story…is that the yellow 70-gals boekie was done in Thessaloniki while I was ill with an allergy and I was not allowed to be “in the sun”, but I had these other 70 gals out at the seaside shack, and they wanted so much to go to Hamburg for the party, too! So I returned to the seaside and sent them out late on Friday…they didn’t arrive on Aug.1, but still, they did arrive 🙂
…and ALL the gals are for you, Erni!
