HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM GREECE …

… may well be the last piece of mail art I’ve received this year though one never can tell. Of course the envelope has been sent by wellknown mail artist Katerina Nikoltsou who lives in Thessaloniki. Happy holidays for you too and thank you muchly, Kate! I still keep the Christmas chocolate you sent recently (see comments).

  1. Happy Holidays to you, too, Erni!
The Ray Johnson reindeer was sent by Keith Bates, he also designed our “mailogram” stamps that I use on my mail art often. Glad to see that the Chocopo has been offered to the gods…they will let you eat it on Christmas day?
The Greek post: ELTA…HELLenic Post ,put the new series of postage stamps with portraits of famous Greek-Americans. The guy on the 90 euro cent stamp is “Kats”, the mayor of New York City…there is also another stamp with Stephanopoulis, the famous reporter on tv TODAY Show in the USA. Sorry but the old Xmas stamps, which were nice self-stickers, are now out-of-print, so we have to use these “portraits”…oh hum.

    1. Very interesting. I had never anything to do with Mr. Bates, and whether Deutsche Post issued any speciasl stamps for Christmas, I don’t know. Yes, I’ve got many delicious things to eat over the holidays. There’s Lebkuchen, special winter chocolate, chocolate Santa, salted peanuts, chocolate cookies (Waffeln) made in Austria, and Haribo licorice sweets. All that goes besides normal food! I gotta be careful with the dosage!
